London Weekend

Hey Guys!

I have just sat down to write this blog after a very long fun filled weekend! Now that I'm back into the swing of things a Uni I feel a good weekend is well deserved. I've added some pictures of my weekend for you guys to have a look at. I'm thinking of doing a 'Things to do in London' blog very soon. I went out on Friday night to the Road House in Covent Garden and spent all of Saturday wandering around West Hampsteads brilliant charity shops nursing a pretty sore head. Today, Alex and I went for a run around Hampstead Heath which is a massive park in London. I sometimes forget how lucky I am to live by the park so I've started jogging there. Standing in a massive park that makes you feel like you're miles away from anything that overlooks the city. It really is something special. Unfortunately, on my jog today I intended on taking a lot of pictures but due to torrential rain and a thunder storm I ended up running faster than ever before. It's nice to get out and walk sometimes with nowhere to go, no worries and no reason to rush...Unless of course there's rain!

It's when I go to the shop for milk and see tourists taking pictures of everything around me that I realise how lucky I am to be in such a nice area. If you like charity shopping I really recommend a trip to west hampstead, theres five different charities along the West End Lane bursting with cute trinkets and hidden treasures like old books, homeware, vintage clothes and with a bit of luck and a sharp eye you can snap up a designer piece at a fraction of it's original cost. If you're studying English Lit they can be great for getting some of your reading list from. They cost a few pounds and when you're done you can bring them back or if you want to keep them you can write notes in them guilt free!

I have University tomorrow, I'm a bit surprised by how much of a step there has been into second year. The texts are harder, longer and we're expected to read them in greater detail. So, I've spent a lot of my days with my head buried in a book and taking notes. I'm lucky that I really enjoy it!

I hope you've had a great weekend and have something good to look forward to this week. Thanks for reading!

Date Night Outfit

Gooood Evening!

Last night I went out for dinner with my boyfriend, we went to a Mexican restaurant in Crouch End in London and I thought I'd share what I wore with you. The restaurant we went to is called Cafe Mexicali and it was SO nice, great food, snazzy atmosphere and of course lots of different beers to choose from. What more could you want!

It's still pretty warm here in London so I've been avoiding wearing a tonne of foundation and just used Collection 2000 concealer and a little bit of Rimmel Stay Matte powder. I went for a mixture of brown and gold eyeshadows by Mac and Gosh and Mac's Pink Nouveau lipstick. I really like this look and I've been wearing it a lot on nights out through the Summer.

I wore my new black skater dress from Primark with tights and added a bit of colour with this gold tribal necklace that you will have seen in my last blog post in more detail. We walked to the restaurant which isn't all that close so I just wore plain black ballet pumps from h&m.

I did my hair using Remington Ci95 Pearl Styling Wand and then I brushed through the curls once it had fully cooled to give it a more natural beachy look and then used Superdrugs Extra Firm Hairspray to keep it from going frizzy.

One of My Favourite Drinks!
Alex's Delicious Tacos!

Today we went for ice-cream, I got mint chocolate chip and pistachio, it was really good, I'd never had pistachio ice-cream before, it was really unusual and probably isn't best with mint choc-chip but I still somehow managed to eat it all!

Having a nice relaxing day now, getting ready to watch Alan Carr Chatty Man as I didn't realise it was back and missed it on Friday night! I've got to finalise my option modules for Uni this week and order (and read) some books in preparation. I'm really looking forward to getting back now and having some kind of proper routine again!

What did you get up to this weekend?! Have a great week!
